COSO Farms is located in south central Missouri on 223 acres. We began in dairy goats in the spring
of 2003 when we purchased two Toggenburg does from a local lady. We then purchased LaManchas. The LaManchas
held our hearts with their wonderful temperament, personalities and color schemes.
COSO Farms showing has been very limited, but we are expecting to change that in the next couple of years.
We participated in linear appraisal in 2007 and learned a lot.
Our LaMancha herd was basically started on lines that were bought in Missouri from Sara Stewart of Oaks
Whisper LaManchas. We love the look of Saras' herd and after selling out in 2007 we have bought back from Sara for a
fresh start. We have also added a herdsire from Cindy Silva of Rockin-CB, and a couple of LaManchas from Joan Coolidges',
Amberwood herd.
COSO Farms practices CAE prevention in raising kids, and CAE test the adult does and bucks every year.
We will also begin to use AI to bring in lines that we hope will produce quality animals.
